OUTREACH - SHARE OUR FAITH: PREACHING
Bishop Bob and the Franciscans of the Eucharist regularly go out to speak or lead retreats at parishes and other Catholic/ Christian groups.
We would love to consider speaking to your group. Please contact us HERE (olamission@gmail.com) to discuss scheduling a speaker / retreat after reviewing the below information.
The Franciscans of the Eucharist are available for:
- Talks- Bishop Bob and the Franciscans are open to doing talks on various topics to parishes, youth, schools, school staffs etc.
- Day retreats- Bishop Bob and the Franciscans are open to doing youth retreats, staff retreats for teachers/ parish staffs, or other groups.
- Confirmation retreats- We are currently leading several large confirmation retreats each year instead of going to parishes for small retreats. Please contact us to bring your confirmandi to one of our large retreats.
- Weekend retreats- We can host your group at the Mission for weekend retreats. The Franciscans are open to considering helping you with talks and other content if you host your retreat at the Mission. See RETREATS page.

| March 15, 2025 - Confirmation Retreat for 400! | |
We were extremely blessed to host a confirmation retreat for about 400 teenagers! We also had 125 adults supporting the retreat. Teens listened to talks, spent time in small groups, went to Adoration, went to confession, were part of a Eucharistic healing procession, went to Mass, listened to a live band, played games and much more! It was a very blessed time for all. Thank you to St. Ignatius College Prep for hosting the retreat! |

| October 26, 2024 - Confirmation Retreat | |
The Franciscans were blessed to organize and run a confirmation retreat for over 200+ kids in the north suburbs. We were blessed to be joined by seminarians from the Diocese of Rockford. The retreat included talks, small groups, games, Mass, and time for Adoration and confession. Thank you to all who helped make this retreat possible! |

We were blessed to lead a confirmation retreat for about ~225 kids from around Elgin, IL! Sr. Jess, Sr. Stephanie, and Sr. Macey led the retreat with the help of our postulants- Mia, Maggie, and Jen. |

| February 11, 2023 - Retreat to Progess | |
We organized a retreat for almost 400 confirmandi on 2/11 at St. Ignatius College Prep! Thank you to the HUNDREDS of people who helped make this possible. Teens heard talks about the deepest desires of their hearts, Jesus, confession, and the Eucharist. All had the opportunity to go to confession, spend lots of time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, attend Mass, and much more. It was such a great gift to all of us! |

We hosted a confirmation retreat for almost 300 students at St. Ignatius College Prep on 3/16/24. Thank you to the HUNDREDS of people who made this possible. We are extremely grateful, especially to St. Ignatius, all of our volunteers, our speakers, the priests who joined us for reconciliation, and the Opera Christi musicians! We had over 60 volunteers from 4 different states join us to staff this retreat, including our friends from Northern State University (South Dakota).
